Does it work in Power BI Service (web)?
Yes. Install in Power BI Desktop and publish your report to the Service. The visual works in both environments.
What happens when the trial expires?
The visual shows a lock screen with a link to purchase. Your report and data are untouched — just enter a license key to unlock.
